A Zoom Basic Alternative for Free 60-Minute Meetings
Compare Aiinak, Zoom Basic and personal Google Meet session limits. Choose free video meetings using duration, participants and the workflow you need.
Aiinak Team
If a 40-minute meeting regularly ends before the questions do, session length is a useful starting point for your next shortlist. Aiinak Meet offers up to 60 minutes per free session with up to 100 participants. This is a vendor-authored comparison of a specific allowance, not a claim that Aiinak replaces every Zoom feature or that every alternative has a shorter limit.
The free-plan duration comparison#
Zoom’s official Basic product information lists meetings up to 40 minutes and 100 participants. Aiinak’s free plan allows up to 60 minutes and 100 participants. For a meeting that would otherwise use the full 40 minutes, that is another 20 minutes in the scheduled session.
Google Meet is an important comparison too: its official help documents 60-minute group meetings for personal accounts and a maximum of 100 participants. Aiinak is therefore a 60-minute option, rather than the only free option for an hour-long group call. Terms and feature availability can change, so check the official pages when you decide.
Separate ordinary meetings from AI stand-ins#
Hosting a video conversation and delegating attendance to an AI Twin are different workflows. Aiinak’s free plan is for meetings; it does not include the paid Twin allowance. A twin needs preparation, appropriate boundaries and an understanding of what it may say in a supported meeting.
The free plan also does not include cloud recording. If a recording is required, compare the relevant paid plans, access controls and retention needs. Do not assume that a meeting assistant, a recording licence and a meeting stand-in are interchangeable features.
Test the conversation you actually host#
Use a representative call with colleagues before moving an important client session. Check invitations, guest joining, camera and microphone permissions, screen sharing, meeting chat and the devices your participants use. A feature checkbox is less useful than seeing the intended workflow work with your group.
Include someone who joins from a different network or device. Review how the host handles interruptions and how the group will receive its follow-up material. Avoid promising a particular connection quality from a product name alone.
Check the surrounding workflow#
A meeting app fits into a larger process: a customer books a time, receives the invitation, joins the call and gets the next steps. Aiinak Booking can publish appointment availability, while Drive can hold selected files for the conversation. These are separate apps with their own access and plan rules.
If you are switching tools, identify what needs to move. Existing recordings, calendar events, recurring invitations and access permissions are not automatically migrated because you started a new meeting account. Test those steps separately.
Choose on fit, then verify the current terms#
Use the hour-long free allowance when it solves your meeting problem. Choose a paid plan or another configuration when the real requirement is a longer uninterrupted workshop, recording, a particular integration or a delegated stand-in. Document the requirement before comparing prices.
Aiinak can be a practical Zoom Basic alternative for a team that wants a free 60-minute session. The honest comparison is the configured workflow, not a blanket claim that one provider is best for everyone.
